Luxe & Split

About Luxe

boutique hotel
Shining like a jewel on Croatia's Adriatic coast, the ancient city of Split has emerged as one of Croatia’s and Europe foremost destinations. In the very centre of Split, a factory built in the late 1920’s was completely ruined by fire in the early 1980’s. Today, like a beautiful phoenix rising from its ashes, it’s a dramatic new building that has become Split’s leading lifestyle, boutique hotel. In 2008 a local business couple with vision, Mr. and Mrs. Parčina, decided to buy the old factory site and change it into a brand new, luxury, boutique hotel. With the help of a famous local architect, Mr. Vjekoslav Ivanišević, the Parcina’s have developed a one-of-a-kind property. Not only a beautiful building which enhances a main street in town, but a hotel whose unique amenities makes it a true destination. Our stylish and lifestyle design and furnishings were carefully chosen by Ms. Parčina herself—a personal celebration of what’s fresh, inventive, sleek, and flavoured with Split’s ancient marine heritage.Dedicated to innovation, Hotel Luxe has started to change the entire look and feel of Split’s hotel scene. Our young and motivated team of hospitality enthusiasts are dedicated to the highest level of personalized service for each guest. Their goal is to do everything to make your stay a warm and memorable experience. (where and how) - Hotel Luxe is situated in the very centre of Split on one of its main streets. We are just steps away from ancient and cultural monuments, including the 1700 year-old historic core of the city, which is protected by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site. The hotel’s ideal location guarantees easy access to all important parts of the city. Within walking distance is the famous Diocletian Palace as well as the bus terminal, railway station and the ferry. The hotel is also just a short walk from the city’s most popular sandy beach, Bacvice and it's transparent clear sea. Split’s wonderfully forested park, it's "green soul", Marjan Hill is also just a short stroll through the Varos section of the city that begins at the end of the waterfront Riva.

City of Split

one of most beautiful mediterranean places

The city of Split is situated in the warmest region of the northern Mediterranean coast. It is at the very centre of the Adriatic eastern coast. For more than 1,700 years, the city has been receiving its fresh water from the nearby Jadro and Žrnovnica Rivers. Our mild climate, with 2700 sunny hours per year, makes the city a wind-sheltered oasis where one can enjoy the sun even in wintertime. Split is also the industrial, university, cultural and business centre of the region.

city split

Because of its central location and a history that spans more than 1,700 years, Split has a rich variety of cultural, archeological and historical monuments. The crown jewel is The Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. Just outside the northern gate of the Palace is sculptor Ivan Mestrovic’s famous monumental statue of Grgur Ninski where you can join the millions of travellers who come here to have their photo taken and have rub his toe for "good luck".The city is full of sports clubs, beaches (the city’s sandy Bacvice beach is the most known), restaurants, disco clubs, museums, palaces and cultural events.

What to see in Split?

  • Diocletian Palace, a city within the city of Split, protected by UNESCO
  • The sub-basement cellars - preserved since the times of Diocletian
  • Cathedral
  • Bell tower of St. Duje - magnificent view
  • Monument of Grgur Ninski – don’t forget to touch his toe for good luck!

TESTIMONIALS
Our guest reviews
  • We have just returned from a five day break in Split Croatia. This hotel was superb in every way. Great location close to airport shuttle bus, station. Rival promenade and the old town. The staff were very attentive and most friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious with so much choice. You could have coffee or drinks in the bar at night if you wished to. There was a wellness centre which we didn't have time to use but it looked good. It was my husbands birthday on the Friday and when we got back to the room they had given him a complimentary bottle of wine which was lovely. We also had complimentary fruit too. Just loved this boutique style hotel. The rooms were well equipped and very clean. Than you Hotel Luxe for a lovely stay
My mum chose Hotel Luxe for our stay in Split, which was our first visit to Croatia and a celebration of our birthdays which fell on the days whilst we were there.. Wow! We were certainly very pleased with our superior sea view room with balcony on the 4th Floor. It is definitely worth paying extra for this type of room as you get a wonderful view of the harbor and old town and can sit and watch the ferries (and sometimes cruise ships) coming in and out. Our room was spotlessly clean and everything you need is catered for in terms of in room amenities. The glamourous décor is probably a bit quirky and aimed at a female style, but a lot of the guests there are couples so I guess men will like it too (or perhaps they are pleasing their wives or girlfriends!) All the staff were so helpful and friendly and they even left me a complimentary bottle of wine on my birthday which was a very kind thought. The buffet breakfast was good with a selection of fruit, yoghurts, cold meats and bread / pastries and self-service.
We stayed here four nights. We got room no. 506, a suite at the top floor at the end of the hall. Very nice view! The room was big and clean, and with good amenities. The room was cleaned/checked on twice a day and overall the staff was very nice. We had breakfast in our room two mornings, which was just 50 kuna (around 7,5 euros) which we think is a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was okey, but we've definitely had worse. There was a also a full mini bar in the room, but the prices here was quite expensive. There's a supermarket just a few meters from the hotel, so it's cheaper to buy beer/wine or soda here. You can also buy beer and drinks from the reception, but there's not very seating area here so we just bought our drinks to our room. The hotel has a spa and training area, but we didn't use this. You can also book massage and other treatments. The hotel has a great location with just a few minutes walk to the old town. We would definitely stay here again and also recommend this place to others.
Very comfortable hotel in a great location with parking situated behind hotel. We only spent one night in Split and would definitely stay again if we ever return. We had a comfort room with small balcony overlooking marina. Room was small by Australian standards but perfectly adequate. The staff very very helpful and all spoke English. The location of this hotel is excellent, very easy to find and less than five minutes walk to both the old town and the marina with plenary of good restaurants and bars around.
  • Elegant modern decor inside an old facade. Great location close to the Old Town and the waterfront, delicious buffet breakfast included, helpful staff. Easy walk from the train /bus station. Don't miss the Archaeological Museum in the new town although it is a long walk uphill to get there, so we took a taxi there but we walked back to the seafront. Highly recommend.
This has been my fifth stay at Hotel Luxe and I was thrilled with such a warm welcome.I had a very nice and spacious room. All hotel staff is so helpful and hospitable. They remember your wishes and habits and they are always at your service. Even though the hotel is placed in the center of the city, it is not loud and you can sleep quiet. View from the balcony or from the window is fantastic: blue sky, blue sea and white boats. You can stay and look at that all day long. Sometimes the guests get tickets for theatre, opera or ballet, or for a free massage at the hotel.
Family friendly hotel with very clean and nice rooms. My two little sons,my husband and me spend good time in hotel. Staff were very helpfull and pollite. Breakfast was very good. Location is great near Riva and Dioklecia palace-about 5 min walk. Hope I will come again soon!.
I couldn't wait to return to Hotel Luxe for a second visit. It is undoubtedly the cleanest hotel I have ever been in! Every corner is immaculate, the welcome is warm, the breakfasts tasty and varied, the beds comfortable, the rooms spacious, and the whole place has a quirky appeal that makes you feel special. There is a gym, sauna, jacuzzi and massage available in the Wellness Centre and there is even a car park. The hotel is ideally located: two minutes' walk from the old town and Diocletian Palace, which is not only a beautiful place to explore, but crammed with great bars and restaurants; 10 minutes walk to the beach, and easy access to the coast road going south. It is perfect for a short break or a base from which to explore, especially for couples.
